Michelle Sladden

Michelle Sladden profile

Graduating as a dietitian with a Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics from Sydney University in 1997, Michelle Sladden has worked in rural, remote, and metropolitan areas of NSW, England, and Scotland. Her passion lies in connecting with individuals, delving into their narratives through a clinical “yarning” style, which she believes fosters a profound connection within healthcare.

Navigating her own journey with coeliac disease for over three decades, she empathises with the challenges of adhering to a specialised diet amidst the pressures of modern living. Her mission is to create a safe space for her clients, where judgment is replaced with encouragement, allowing them to relax, smile, and embrace their health potential.

Over the years, Michelle has worked within most clinical areas, with many walks of life and most dietary needs, and in recent times she has developed a special interest in disordered eating. She enjoys working with people from all cultural backgrounds and in a collaborative fashion, putting the client first and working closely with healthcare teams to prioritise their well-being and foster a positive relationship with their body.
