Barbara is a Clinical Psychologist with a breadth of experience & depth of knowledge to therapy sessions having accumulated skills, abilities and competencies directly from working in WA, NSW and NT in government departments, community and hospital-based work, occupational rehabilitation services, disability services commission and community mental health clinics.
She has a warm, open & approachable manner and considers it a privilege to provide psychological support to an individual who is experiencing mental health concerns. She is committed to promoting better outcomes in mental health, well-being and life experiences of individuals with efficacious treatment interventions.
Barbara uses a range of therapy modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Strengths Based work and Positive Psychology, Schema Therapy and Motivational Interviewing for change.
She has a special interest & expertise in working with people with a work related or motor vehicle injury, chronic pain, medical conditions, ailments and disabilities that impact on a person’s psychological well-being & mental health.
