Andrea Ryder profile

Andrea Ryder graduated with Honours in Dietetics in 2004 and later did her Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education, before joining the Black Swan Health team in January 2016. Previously, she has worked in community dietetics and enjoys having the time to get to know her clients and work with them on their own health goals.

Andrea loves to lead group education programs as she sees the considerable benefits for clients participating and learning in a group environment for their physical and mental health. Andrea is experienced in a wide range of conditions, but for the past 10 years has maintained a focus on clients with diabetes, pre-diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Andrea’s health tip: Vegetables, vegetables, vegetables! Increasing vegetable intake can benefit your weight, bowel health, cholesterol levels, blood glucose levels, nutritional status, gut bacteria and cancer risk.
